Gianmatteo Sabatino

Gianmatteo Sabatino is a Research Fellow in Comparative and European Law at the Sino-Italian Institute of the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. He holds a PhD in Comparative and European Legal Studies at the University of Trento (Italy) where he also cooperated in EU-Funded Research Projects on Effective Judicial Protection in the European Union. During his PhD, he also was a Visiting Scholar at the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, where he carried out research works under the coordination of Prof. Li Jun and Prof. Huang Meiling. He has published several scientific papers on Italian and international legal journals, in the fields of Chinese Law, European Union Law and International Economic Law. His main research interests include Comparative Law, Economic Law (with a special focus on Development Planning Law), Chinese Law, Asian Countries' Law and Legal Tradition, Legal Anthropology.

Stephen  Hawes

Stephen Hawes is a Research Fellow in Comparative and European Law at the Sino-Italian Institute of the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. He is currently holding a PhD at University College London. He is also associate lecturer at University College London. He holds a LLM from University College London and a BA from the University of Oxford. He is specialized in in private law, particularly trust law. He has published a Review of Pensions and Legal Policy (by Amanda Cooke), in the Modern Law Review (June 2021).
